Deadline for reservation and payment is 20 May 1996

Single room accommodation is available on Stanford Campus in dormitory-style, non-smoking suites in Roble Hall. These accommodations are across from the conference venue Terman Engineering Center and conference participants electing to stay in these rooms can easily get by without renting a car. Participants will share suites with 4 to 6 bedrooms with a shared lounge and bath room. Each guest will have his or her private room in the suite. Roble Hall is a charming, ivy covered residence hall with large lounges on the ground floor.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EARLIEST TIME/DATE THAT CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION IS AVAILABLE IS 5:00 PM ON 21 JUNE.

The cost per person:

Single occupancy: $41.00
Double occupancy: $29.25 per person
The rates are based on full housekeeping which means full housekeeping service daily Monday-Friday. Suites and rooms don't have TVs or telephones. Public telephones are available nearby.

Check-in is 3 pm and check-out is at noon. At check-in, a refundable key deposit of $65 will be collected (cash, personal US check, traveler checks, Master/Visa Card accepted). The main office at Roble Hall is open weekdays 8am-10pm, and weekends 10am-10pm. A staff person will be on call if the office is closed.

If you elect to stay on campus, you must include complete payment for all nights when registering for the conference (before May 20, 1996). Please note that we have reserved a block of 100 rooms and reservations will be made on a first-come-first-served basis.

Hotel Accommodation

Blocks of rooms have been reserved at various hotels near the conference venue. Holiday Inn, the conference hotel, is approximately 1 mile from the meeting rooms and within easy walking distance of downtown Palo Alto. Please make your reservation with the hotel directly. The hotels will hold the blocks for conference participants until the date indicated for each hotel. Use the group name ("Stanford AID96") when making the reservation to receive the group/Stanford rate. Specify whether you would like a smoking or non-smoking room. The price is a relatively good indication of the comfort you can expect.
